Women in Film/Video New England will host its annual meeting on December 1 at WGBH Boston. The event will include the announcement of the New England Film Star Award winner, in addition to networking, speakers, and more. Register to attend on wifvne.org.

Industry Buzz

A new trailer has been released for The Tender Bar, which opens next month. Directed by George Clooney and based on J.R. Moehringer’s memoir, the film was shot in Massachusetts earlier this year with Tye Sheridan and Ben Affleck, with a screenplay by Massachusetts native William Monahan. Check out the trailer here.

Hocus Pocus 2 has begun filming in Rhode Island. The sequel to the 1993 Halloween classic will shoot around the state over the next few months. Read more here.
