Based upon short stories by award-winning Maine author Willis Johnson, this film chronicles the lives of an aging group of Russian expatriates living in rural Maine in the late 70's. Based on an actual Russian community in the Kennebec river valley, The Girl who would be Russian is full of comedy, drama, tragedy, and humanity.
