What I Did When I Was Away (1999)

A young man relocates from the Midwest to Boston to pursue a college sweetheart; but, when the relationship falls through, the young man is left adrift. Alone in a strange city without family, friends, loved ones, or a solid sense of identity, the young man goes into a turbulent 'downward spiral,' taking to drink and petty crime. The Boston Gothic/industrial club scene plays a major backdrop in the film.
