Happenings

TCGT Entertainment and Women in Film and Television international (WIFTI) with support from the Woods Hole Film Festival presents the The Iranian Women Filmmakers Showcase of short films and interactive online event with the filmmakers.  Films selected for this showcase were curated by award-winning Iranian filmmaker Sonia K. Haddad. Films will be available for on-demand viewing from Wednesday, March 10 through Friday, March 12. Register for free.
Cambridge’s Do It Your Damn Self!! Film Festival takes place remotely on March 19 from 6–8 pm. Celebrate the country’s longest-running youth film festival with a virtual screening. Visit communityartcenter.org and the festival Facebook page for more information.

The New Hampshire Rivers Council hosts the virtual 2021 Wild & Scenic Film Festival. The festival takes place on March 26 at 7:00 pm, with on-demand access for five days following the livestream. Click here for more information.

Celebrate Boston’s Chlotrudis Society for Independent Film Awards virtually on March 21 at 5:00 pm. This year’s nominees include And Then We Danced, First Cow, Never Rarely Sometimes Always, Portrait of a Lady on Fire, and Sound of Metal. Connecticut’s Slater Memorial Museum hosts a virtual program with filmmaker Christian de Rezendes on March 24 from 1–3 pm. De Rezendes will discuss his upcoming Rhode Island PBS documentary series Slatersville: America’s First Mill Village. Register for this free Zoom program here.
