NewEnglandFilm.com is pleased to announce the 2020 Online New England Film Festival will begin on September 8, 2020. Though we acknowledge this is a difficult time for many creators across New England, we’re excited to share these films and signal boost work by New England filmmakers with a New England connection.

Thanks to sponsors of the festival, including: Adam Camera; Animus Studios; Art Payroll; CP Casting; Filmmakers Collaborative; and Rule Boston Camera. And special thanks also to Women in Film/Video New England.

Also, special thanks to our festival partners who all provided incredible recommendations of films for us to screen at this year’s festival, in addition to films chosen through direct submissions on FilmFreeway. This year’s partners include:

Enjoy more than 50 short films safely at home and be sure to share your favorites with your friends or on social media. One film from each category will be granted an Audience Prize based on plays and views, so the more you share and support your favorite film, the better the chance it’ll have to win the Audience Prize!

This year’s festival features a diverse range of genres, creators and subjects. Watch the trailer here, featuring clips from Boy Eats Girl, My Black Is…, Irene H. Clark; Navajo Master Weaver, Misunderstood Masterpiece, Downhill, The Faces of MOE Fencing Club, Yes, Mommy, The Mushroom Huntress and Out of The Shadows, all films available to stream for free starting September 8, 2020.
