Connecticut filmmaker Jeff Bemiss is in the final two days of an Indiegogo campaign to support outreach for his award winning, 27-minute documentary Coaching Colburn, about a young man named James Colburn, who was born with Fragile X Syndrome.

Last year, Bemiss and his students produced a 16-minute film about James Colburn, a young man with Fragile X Syndrome. At age 26, James is a child at heart who finds joy in small things and uses his gift of comedic timing to inspire those around him. James is living proof that there is love and laughter in the face of autism. They shared the film with the Fragile X community and were amazed by the response. People from all over the world wrote to tell their stories—they even heard from a family who had their son tested for Fragile X after seeing Coaching Colburn.

The film has now been expanded into a new, 27-minute version, which follows James through a day in his life. The result is informative, poignant—and funny.
