Connecticut filmmaker Bart Grieb seeks Indiegogo support for Revenge of the Killer Shrews. The project is a sequel to his 2000 short film Taming of the Killer Shrews, which was inspired by Ray Kellogg’s 1959 movie The Killer Shrews. Revenge of the Killer Shrews will continue that story, a mix of horror, comedy, and suspense.

The Indiegogo campaign page explains that Grieb hopes his new film will “provide a new source of joy for the worldwide fanbase of Kellogg’s work, and will bring it to the attention of new generations of movie buffs and filmmakers alike.” Grieb has worked on other horror films, including recent The Night Before Christmas, and plans to shoot Revenge of the Killer Shrews entirely in New England.

The goal is to raise $40,000 by October 3rd. Donations will fund special effects, prosthetics, animation, sets, and more. With flexible funding, the team behind Revenge of the Killer Shrews may shoot it as a short film until it can be completed as a feature.
