NewEnglandFilm.com brings together the local film industry by providing online resources. The site emphasizes independent, grassroots and student filmmakers, and the organization prioritizes film and video makers marginalized by gender, race, class, and sexuality through its news coverage and through programs like the New England Film Star Award, a grant given to a marginalized local filmmaker, and its annual NewEnglandFilm.com Fellowship at the Stowe Story Labs.
The NewEnglandFilm.com website features classifieds and film jobs, over 1,900 articles (how-to’s, interviews, profiles, and features); and 350 production directory listings (members renew annually); over 30,000 user accounts; approximately 8,000 email subscribers, and over 15,000 fans and followers on social media. NewEnglandFilm.com’s Online New England Film Festival has featured over 400 short local films in its 12 years, many of which are still available to watch online.
