About Michele Meek
Michele Meek pioneered the development of NewEnglandFilm.com (www.newenglandfilm.com), the premiere magazine and resource for indie filmmaking in the northeast in 1997. She is also currently on the board of Independent Media Publications which publishes The Independent (formerly AIVF's magazine and now online at www.independent-magazine.org).
She has written and directed several films including the short narrative "Red Sneakers," which screened at the Rhode Island International Film Festival and Woods Hole Film Festival in the summer 2008 and will screen in October 2008 at the Los Angeles International Children's Film Festival; "The Missing Flinck," a Boston 48 Hour Film Project; and the first in a documentary series on women and sexuality, "Conversations with Women" which can be viewed online.
