Newburyport Documentary Film Festival One Two Punch Fundraiser

One Two Punch Fundraiser to benefit the Newburyport Documentary Film Festival (www.newburyportfilmfestival.org) screening two short films (20 min each). The first is the "Elegy for the Elswick Envoy" an award-winning film on the efforts of a disabled artist to find a home for her much loved, but aging car-- The Elswick Envoy. The second is Keith Dorrington's 2001 documentary on the fall and rise of Lowell, MA boxer Dick Eklund and his efforts to train his brother "Irish" Micky Ward. This film is the basis for the feature length version slated to begin production this summer in Lowell and starring Mark Wahlberg and Christian Bale. Q&A to follow with Keith Dorrington and Leslie Varrelman, executive producers of the feature length film. A reception will close out the evening.
