Coolidge Presents An Evening with Ray Kurzweil

The Coolidge Corner Theatre wraps up the 2008-2009 season of its popular Science on Screen series with a special program, An Evening with Ray Kurzweil on Monday, May 11 at 7:00 p.m. The celebrated futurist, inventor and entrepreneur will give a multimedia presentation based on his best-selling book The Singularity is Near and show an exclusive trailer of the upcoming film of the same name. Audience members will also get a sneak peek at Transcendent Man, director Barry Ptolemy’s documentary charting Kurzweil’s journey to bring the ideas from The Singularity to a worldwide audience. Kurzweil, recipient of the National Medal of Technology and seven national and international film awards, will lead a question-and-answer session following his talk.
