In 2012, Windy Films was founded by three friends—Editor Tripp Clemens, Cinematographer Harvey Burrell, and Producer Will Humphrey. Since then, they have built a successful studio and production company in Boston, Massachusetts specializing in both commercial and documentary filmmaking. In particular, they aim to tell stories of “social impact and innovation.” In this video interview, NewEnglandFilm.com writer David Pierotti interviews the three partners about how they built their business and their projects.

For example, they raised money on Kickstarter back in 2012 to buy a mini-bus and drive across the country with their best friend and paraplegic surfer/skier/sailor Zack Bastian. They went rock climbing with the blind, played soccer with quadriplegics, and swam with those with muscular dystrophy, to name a few. Now a 75-minute feature film and their first documentary, Endless Abilities has screened in major cities from San Francisco to Washington DC, from Vancouver to Jerusalem.
