Nine young gay men are interviewed in this unconventional documentary short. All nine men come from various areas across the country (Massachusetts, California, Texas, Indiana, Florida, Michigan, & New Jersey). However, none of the men are seen on screen, instead nine straight actors portray and lip-sync their appearances. The majority supports the minority in this film, as topics range from stereotypes to coming out, civil rights, and personal opinions.

Why I'm a fan first, costar second.

The strength of this movie is not it's unique concept, creative execution, or (ahem) talented cast, but the new thoughts it provokes on a polarizing subject.

I had the pleasure of being one of the lip-syncing actors in this unique documentary. Before participating in this short, I considered myself to be pro-Gay Rights, and accepting and supportive of the GLBT community in my life. But this movie opened my eyes to preconceived notions I still harbored, and I'm a stronger person for it.

Excellent job. The film has

Excellent job. The film has made me more aware of how people feel about being gay and how there families and society have treated them.

Great Short

I hope it wins

:)

Giving a voice to those living in the shadows

I was quite surprised how well the actors conveyed the subtle voice inflections it must have taken many "takes" Well done I feel like I know so much more about how hard it is to be ones self.

Reality Behind Closed Doors

Awesome movie! Very thought provoking and honest. I liked the use of voices over the people portraying the speakers. Definitely the best picture of the festival line up!!!

Respect

This is a very interesting and thought provoking documentary. Homosexuality can be a difficult topic for people to discuss. This documentary allowed for the interviewees to be open and honest, which provides a new perspective for the audience to hear and see. I think this documentary was very moving and I am glad that someone thought of the idea so that we can better understand each other. I think movies like this are the way to promote a greater respect for another. The overall concept was beautifully portrayed. I give it two thumbs up.

The Reality Behind Closed Doors

Well Done.

Having a woman (a little older than the rest of the actors) portray one of the parts made an impact. It reminds me of parents struggling with accepting their child's sexual orientation. The image is similar to the film (based on a true story) that Sigourney Weaver starred in recently about struggling to accept her son was gay while it was against her religious beliefs.

The camera angles and perspectives were supurb. The presentation was outstanding. This is a powerful documentary. I hope to see it on television soon.

Great job creatively and technically!

The film's unique style choice is very well backed up with a lot of substance. There's a lot of truths about society reflected in these shorts segments, and hopefully this film and others like it will spark discussion that will in the end make the lives of gay individuals a little better.
