Stop Motion Animation

Learn stop-motion animation with former SCATV veteran Jess Barnthouse! Students of all ages will work in groups to plan, produce, and edit original stop-motion animations using professional animation software and SCATV’s new DSLR cameras. Bring ideas and things to animate (Legos, clay, paper, buttons, etc) to our first class and we’ll have several one-minute animations completed at the end of four weeks. Kids and teens welcome! Jess has been teaching stop-motion animation to all ages for four years now and runs an annual animation film festival in Arlington.

The workshop is an 8 hour class that covers basic simulated firearms safety, handling, holstering and unholstering, marching drills, basic officer, SWAT, DEA, FBI simulated handling styles and techniques as well as character development.
