There are so many great screening happening at the Independent Film Festival of Boston on Friday April 24th we don't know how you'll decide which to see. Here's a sampling of what's in store:

Andrew Bujalski (director of FUNNY HA HA and MUTUAL APPRECIATION) makes his return to Boston to show his new film, BEESWAX, at the Brattle Theatre at 7pm. Andrew will be in attendance for the Q&A.

Following that, CHIP ON MY SHOULDER, a documentary about the famed Boston hardcore band SLAPSHOT will have its World Premiere at the Brattle Theatre in Harvard Square at 9:45pm.

The 7th Independent Film Festival of Boston will take place April 22-28 at the Somerville Theatre, the Brattle Theatre, the Coolidge Corner Theatre, and the ICA. Roughly 100 films will be shown and nightly parties will be held.

The Opening night film is Rian Johnson's THE BROTHERS BLOOM starring Mark Ruffalo, Adrien Brody, and Rachel Weisz. It will screen at 7:30pm at the Somerville Theatre on Wednesday April 22nd.

Vinfen's 2nd Annual Moving Images Film Festival

Vinfen’s Moving Images Film Festival is the only festival of its kind in the Boston area. The goal of this unique event is to combat the stigma too often associated with mental illness and developmental disabilities that affect more than 160,000 individuals in the Commonwealth. The festival, which runs on Saturday, March 28 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m., is free and open to the public. Free parking is available at the venue: Joseph B. The Duluth Play Ground would like to invite independent filmmakers nationwide to participate in our 4th Annual Short Shorts Film Festival. These short shorts, which must be no longer than 5 minutes, will be viewed by a panel of judges, and cash prizes will be awarded to the top 3 films.
