The No Film Film Festival 2: 80's Remake Contest

Falls Area Community Television (FACT TV) invites budding and seasoned filmmakers to participate in the second annual No Film Film Festival. The challenge will be to recreate a classic 1980s American film in less than 15 minutes. The deadline for registration is 11:59 a.m., May 29, 2013, and may be done online at http://www.nofilmfestival.org. Contestants will have from May 31 to June 7 to complete and submit their short films. These will then be premiered starting at 5 p.m. June 29, 2013, at the Bellows Falls Opera House, where audiences will vote on the winner.

What happens when you give teams of local filmmakers exactly 48 hours to make a movie? Just about anything! Over the last ten years, 700 films have been made as part of the Boston 48 Hour Film Project, a wild and sleepless weekend in which teams of filmmakers from all over New England write, shoot, edit and score short films from scratch in 48 hours. On April 9 at the Brattle Theatre, we're showing our favorites--at 7pm, we're showing the twelve best family-friendly films made in the last ten years. At 9:15pm, we're showing the best R-rated films.
