New web series "You Can't Make This Sh!t Up" venture seeks submissions.
We are putting together a comedy web series where people tell us funny, off the wall stories in an interview style and it is acted out and lip synced by local actors cast by us. If you have a funny or off the wall story that is just perfect in the following categories;

Call for Entries - 2014 Boston Bike Film Festival

Organizers of the 9th Annual Boston Bike Film Festival have asked filmmakers with a cycling habit to submit their work to be shown October 24, 2014, at the historic Regent Theatre in Arlington. Film submissions are due September 1, 2014. The event is a fundraiser for state-wide and national cycling advocacy groups, including MassBike and Bikes Not Bombs. Film concepts from last year's festival ranged from a young man who lives on his bike, to a documentary about a disabled woman in Africa who became a bike mechanic, and so much more.

Casting for Tufts University Student Film: "An Exceptionally Distant Woman"

Think Scent of a Woman meets Taxi Driver- a woman wakes up after an accident to discover that she is blind. The film will be shot from the woman's point of view, and aims to showcase how her perception of reality differs from what is actually happening.
This is part of Don Schechter's Making Movies class, taught through the Tufts University ex-college.
Looking for:
Female lead, age 25-40: a woman trying to cope with a new reality after she goes blind.
Male lead, age 25-40: a man who tries to understand the difficulties such a change has on his sister-in-law.

We need a short 2-3 min. film on the Greening of Greenough Boulevard - an initiative to roll back pavement and reclaim parkland

Synopsis: Our aim is to roll back pavement and reclaim the banks of the Charles River. Greening a mile of riverfront in Cambridge and Watertown
by narrowing Greenough Boulevard, slowing traffic, and establishing a new treelined path will bring new park visitors to the river.
Need: A short 2-3 minute video to show how this project will benefit a range of people some of whom use the paths today and some of whom may aspire to use it but are prevented by its poor condition.
Budget: $3,000 to 5,000 +/-
