Casting for Tufts University Student Film: "An Exceptionally Distant Woman"

Think Scent of a Woman meets Taxi Driver- a woman wakes up after an accident to discover that she is blind. The film will be shot from the woman's point of view, and aims to showcase how her perception of reality differs from what is actually happening.
This is part of Don Schechter's Making Movies class, taught through the Tufts University ex-college.
Looking for:
Female lead, age 25-40: a woman trying to cope with a new reality after she goes blind.
Male lead, age 25-40: a man who tries to understand the difficulties such a change has on his sister-in-law.

We need a short 2-3 min. film on the Greening of Greenough Boulevard - an initiative to roll back pavement and reclaim parkland

Synopsis: Our aim is to roll back pavement and reclaim the banks of the Charles River. Greening a mile of riverfront in Cambridge and Watertown
by narrowing Greenough Boulevard, slowing traffic, and establishing a new treelined path will bring new park visitors to the river.
Need: A short 2-3 minute video to show how this project will benefit a range of people some of whom use the paths today and some of whom may aspire to use it but are prevented by its poor condition.
Budget: $3,000 to 5,000 +/-

"JULIA'S GHOST" Student Film

This project explores the idea of psychological space. To represent this idea a set will be created; a large cube structure that will form the frame of Julia's room. The room itself is an extension of Julia, a structure that divides her inner world from the outside.
Plot: Juliette takes care of Julia who is haunted by the phantom presence of a man that appears in her room. Juliette receives calls from an unknown person that is trying to help Julia. At the end, Juliette meets the man that Julia talks about and becomes the victim of assault.

The Marblehead Festival of Arts Film Festival Wants Your Short Film

The Marblehead Festival of Arts invites both aspiring and seasoned filmmakers to submit their short films for its 2014 Film Festival, part of the Marblehead Festival of Arts, held July 3 through July 6 2014. The 90-minute outdoor Film Festival will screen Thursday, July 3 at 9 pm in Marblehead's Crocker Park. Films selected for screening will have the opportunity to win cash and other prizes if chosen by judges and will be eligible for a People's Choice award based on audience balloting.
