BUT Film Festival differs from other film festivals by screening movies that deviates from main stream cinema on the level of taste, form and content. BUT stands for B-movies, Underground and Trash. B-movies are made with a small budget without the supervision of a large production company.
Underground movies are films that search the boundaries of the admissibility and often contain explicit scenes. Trash movies are over the top for the content as well for the images.
