The Millbury Bicentennial Short Film Festival has announced that the deadline for submissions has been extended to June 1, 2013. Selected films will be shown at a screening event on June 10, 2013 at Millbury’s intimate and historic Elm Draught House Cinema located at 35 Elm Street in downtown Millbury, Massachusetts. Winners will be selected at the event by a panel of judges for outstanding work, with a grand prize winner for Best Picture.

Just a quick reminder that the Massachusetts Independent Film Festival is accepting submissions through June 1st. The event will be held at the Brattle Theater in Harvard Square, Cambridge, August 15, 16 & 17 - with an after party on the final night. One film will be chosen to win the Jury Prize. Features, shorts and documentaries are fair game! And Screen Media Ventures will be reviewing the festival line-up for possible distribution opportunities.

I'm an independent filmmaker seeking to assemble a feature length anthology from existing short films. The common theme I'm seeking is that they all exist in a world of Superheros and that they are comedic or at least light-hearted. Submissions should be no shorter then 5 minute and no longer then 20 minutes.
I have distribution contacts and the final goal will be to create a feature which can be submitted to Netflix, iTunes and Hulu. All filmmakers will be entitled to a share of the profits.

Hey Everybody! The Sycho Movie Project is reborn - again...but without zombies. This is posted in the Call for films, because in essence that is how this works, yet it must be a product of the project, so no already made films are to be submitted.
Here's what you need.
1. Have a good camera.
2. Be able to do a fight scene.
3. Have creature fx - even monstors.
4. Have a cast and crew of your own.
5. Be okay with no pay until finished project earns us money.
6. Be okay with blood and gore, and make it look awesome.

YOUR MISSION
Create an up to two-minute video that meets the following criteria:
First and foremost the video needs to be shareable. Please create a video that you yourself would want to share with your friends, fans, followers and that they would in turn want to share.

LEE ANN - (18-28), Caucasian - "Flirty neighbor" (slight Boston accent required). 2 scenes total. Must be VERY comfortable with NUDITY and have an appealing physique. There will be frontal nudity, but tastefully done. Looking for CONFIDENCE and appeal. Tattoos a plus.
Will be shot on RED camera. Filming to take place in May. We will be submitting to festivals.

Piper: Female; early 20s; free spirited, but strong-willed.

We’re looking for a kind old GRANDPA and a rambunctious GRANDSON (around 8-12 years old) for our short spec commercial for Popsicle.
When our GRANDSON has to spend the day with his GRANDPA, he thinks he'll never have any fun. That is, until GRANDPA teaches him how to build a house out of Popsicle sticks. Together, they create the most amazing work of art ever made by man (or, at least, ever made out of Popsicle sticks).
Pay for the day will be $100. We will be shooting on the RED Epic camera, and you will have a copy of the film for your reel within a week of shooting!
