The Pawtucket Arts Festival produces a month long Arts Festival every September. The arts festival celebrates the arts in their many forms – dance, film, music, theatre, and visual. Festival programming encompasses emerging and established artists at performance venues and exhibit spaces throughout the City of Pawtucket, Rhode Island. The organization is guided by a Board of Directors (5 members), with an operations team of local volunteers, with the assistance of City officials, working year round. The Pawtucket Arts Festival has operated within a balanced budget from $140,000 to $160,000) since its beginning 18 years ago. It is the goal of the Pawtucket Arts Festival is to expand appreciation for the arts and to enhance the City of Pawtucket’s reputation as a vibrant center of the arts. The organizers work to expand arts audiences in the New England region with the expectation of growth in the future, to promote the arts with our art and cultural partners throughout the festival and year-round support, and to ensure the long-term sustainability and success of the organization. This solicitation covers a one year contract, May 2017 through October 2017. The City of Pawtucket reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to extend this commitment for one (1) additional season (May 2018 to October 2018) at the pre-determined rate of $19.608 per hour.
